The Amazon River and the Yarapa River, Peru.

In May 2024, with the second attempt (first cancelled by Covid), my Dad and I traveled to another Earthwatch trip on the Yarapa River, Peru to live on a retired rubber boat for 11 days. I brough my Nikon FM, 35mm f2.8 lense, 800 and 400 ASA. It was hot, humid and full of mosquitos. It also had the most beautiful night sky bursting with stars. The sounds of what felt like a million frogs and insects nestled among lush greens, floating vegitation and flooded forests. Graceful shorebirds and playful monkeys living at the edge of the river. And a dense, lush rainforest which was filled with twisting branches and vines, spiked tree truncks and bright green vegitation.

Kenya, Africa

I made my first trip to Africa in September 2019 for two weeks with the volunteer organization, Earthwatch. I brought my Mamiya C330 and Contaxt T3. The Mamiya was heavy and long to set up, but in the end, I am content with my ability to slowly and intently capture the vast and incredible landscape of the Masai Mara.
